Maintenance Mechanic

POSITION SUMMARY:

This role will be responsible for working as part of the maintenance team in a Medical Device manufacturing plant.  This role will perform routine preventative and unplanned machine maintenance.  The equipment is in a fast paced, ever changing, manufacturing environment. The equipment utilizes pneumatics, hydraulics, stepper motors, servo motors, encoders, thermal ovens, water baths, which have PLC controls. Some do contain relay logic.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs routine/preventive maintenance and unplanned emergency repairs. Troubleshoot repairs and install replacements as required on machines to assure satisfactory operation with minimum downtime. 
  • Works from mechanical and pneumatic/hydraulic prints, electric diagrams, manufacturers’ printed instructions to troubleshoot and locate mechanical, hydraulic/pneumatic and electrical problems in functional and control systems.  Adjusts, repairs or replaces defective parts or materials.  Performs routine preventative maintenance inspections on hydraulic/pneumatic valves, lines, connections, pumps following preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Uses mechanical maintenance tools, equipment and machines as required. Full working knowledge of Volt-Ohm Ammeters for electrical checks and diagnosis.  Safely follows Lockout/Tagout requirements while performing duties.
  • Fabrication skills, ability to weld, cut and grind and/or fabricate from prints are a distinct advantage.
  • Immediately Reports problems and unusual or unsafe situations which cannot be resolved quickly.
  • Observes all health and safety requirements and maintains work area in a neat and orderly condition.
  • Perform 5s activities in a team environment as required.
  • Perform on call with rotating schedule.

 

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School diploma and or general education (GED);
  • 5+ years of maintenance experience required.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Full understanding of the use of basic hand tools
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must own and maintain full set of mechaic tools
  • Ability to read and understand schematics.
  • Basic plc troubleshooting experience preferred.
  • Electrical license preferred
  • Lock out tag out trained preferred

SPECIALIZED SKILLS & OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain equipment and fixtures.
  • Repairs or replaces defective parts using hand tools and power tools.
  • Must be able to work weekends and overtime as needed.
  • Must be able to lift 25lbs on a regular basis,+50lbs on occasion required
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision.
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic knowledge required.

This Manufacturing company is looking to hire a press operator for 3 shifts. This position is responsible for operating a press while being fully aware of all safety matters. To inspect, finish (remove flash) and pack molded parts as required. *1st Shift is 7am-3pm *2nd 3pm-11pm *3rd shift 11pm-7am. Monday-Friday. Job Description:

We are seeking a reliable Mechanic Assistant to join our team in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. In this role, you will assist the lead mechanic in detecting and diagnosing faults in engines and parts, ensuring high-quality repairs and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the lead mechanic in diagnosing faults in engines and mechanical components.
  • Dismantle and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and other components.
  • Check parts for wear and damage, and repair or replace defective components as necessary.
  • Reassemble mechanical components and refer to service manuals for guidance.
  • Perform other mechanical tasks as directed by the lead mechanic.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanic or mechanically related roles.
  • Proficient in dismantling and rebuilding engines.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs or more throughout the day and remain on your feet for extended periods.
  • Must be able to pass a 10-panel drug screen and background check.

 Responsibilities

1. Unload goods and supplies from the packing section into the stock yard, then stack them in designated locations or from the stockyard to the vehicles nearby.

 

2. Find product inventory and transfer it to pallets for storage or shipping.

 

3. Determine damages, note any shortages, and file a bill for any damages.

 

4. If necessary, move raw materials from storage to manufacturing workstations.

 

5. Examine the forklift to see if repairs are necessary, and ensure safety by carrying out routine maintenance.

 

6. Enter the forklift's diesel consumption reading in the logbook.

 

7. Frequent forklift maintenance and cleaning.
